It’s one of those flowery things that you see on university degree certificates.
More important than a piece of paper, design school taught us how to think and problem solve creatively.
We have a bachelor of design, with a flower on top, which means we are qualified.
This is the old Kanuka Tree outside our Studio in Kaikoura. It’s a daily reminder that nature is hanging on by a limb.
We make eco material choices in our design and manufacturing practice wherever possible.
Kaikoura is a Green Globe Certified Community, it’s something we are proud of.
Black is one of our favourite colours. It is the most common colour in books and you can do a lot with it as a designer.
We are equally at home with a mouse or a hammer in hand. Somewhere in-between the design studio and the sign workshop feels about right.
That’s why we offer signwriting alongside design as a service in our local area.
Hand’s on experience with manufacturing makes us better designers. It’s a win win.
It’s the Kaikoura Peninsula off the East Coast of the South Island of New Zealand.
It’s the place we call home.
We believe ideas add value.
We work all over.
Design travels beautifully which means we can work with anyone from anywhere.
And we do.
We are happy to jump in the car or on a plane and come to see you, and we encourage you to do the same.
Come breathe some fresh air.
Coffee is a big part of our studio culture. Come visit us and we’ll make you one (or two!).
It’s an occupational hazard of working with a few coffee companies over the years.

Kaikoura is rugged and wild and that’s why we are here.
Sandwiched between the mountains and the sea, there is no shortage of inspiration to fuel the creative mind.
Come on, we had to put a whale in there right? We live in Kaikoura after all.
It’s more where this guy is heading that interests us, 1000m under the surface of the Ocean to the Kaikoura Canyon - a mysterious and diverse natural environment unlike anywhere else on earth.
Our motto is depth by design, we like to add a little something to be discovered under the surface of our work.
A Moa for good measure?
Design is an intuitive business, sometimes it simply works because it works.
Watch out for random elements!
