Kaikoura High School

We worked on:

Graphic Design, Signage Design.

Kaikoura High School were interested in creating a focal point for their school grounds to evoke mana and communicate it’s values through some new bilingual wayfinding signage.

We based the design around Pouwhenua - cultural markers used to mark territorial boundaries or places of significance.

Two large Pou stand at the corner of the school grounds. A cluster of six smaller Pou stand in the entry courtyard displaying the school’s motto and values. A single Pou greets and farewells visitors to and from the administration block.

We created the design concepts and specifications, project managed their manufacture with our suppliers, then installed them onsite with the help of local trades.
